La Saint-Sylvestre (New Year's Eve).

So 2009 ends today.

It's the 31st of December, which also happens to be my great friend, Melvina's birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELVINA :D

Anyhow, I slept at 12.30 AM yesterday, as my usual sleeping time during the hols are when it hits the following day. And I wanted to wish Melvina at midnight. I was slightly late but hey, the thought that counts :)

Looking back at the hols, I realize this is what I have been doing every day. It has become my routine, sad to say.

I wake up in the morning with a throbbing head and a vacuum cleaner blasting outside my bedroom, whenever the part-time cleaner comes over to do her job. I wash up and other stuff I do in the morning, then I went downstairs to watch TV, like I do every day during the hols.

And then at midday, I would go online and remain in the same state for another 5 hours or so. Then at six, I would have my dinner. After dinner, I usually stay in my room and do random things and wait until 8PM, when I will go online again. If there are interesting shows on the telly, I go to my mother's room and watch TV until my show has ended, and then I resume going online.

I usually sleep at midnight, or later than that. My latest time is 1.45AM. Record breaker on myself.

Today, it is the last day of 2009 and I would like to do something meaningful today. But I have not figured out anything yet.

But now, I intend to jot down the things I did this year. They are in no particular order.

The Good

I met Katy Perry's mother, who is a pastor. She came to our church.

I went to Starbucks for the first time and bought my first green tea frappucino at 10.30 AM in the morning nearby my hotel while I was in Singapore.

I got number 3 in class for the final semester.

I managed a 100 for Mathematics during my finals.

I went for an outing with my awesome classmates, I-Xin, Jia Wen, Pui Ee and Nicole.

I went to Malacca for two days, then a week later I took off to Singapore and had the most amazing experience ever!

I went to Carine's house this year, for the first time after such a long time and had tonnes of fun with Bryan, Carine and Desmond.

I did a countdown and spammed I-Xin's and Desmond's profile kao kao XD

I had the longest poke marathon with Eu Jing! POKE!

I bought Nerds for the first time in my life, and got them in Singapore.

I managed to maintain my blog and now it's got more than a hundred posts.

I learned a lot of new things, like how to clean toilets lol.

I managed to stay on a diet for the longest time ever.

For the first time ever, studying Science worked for me and I got a whopping A for finals.

I found myself a great guy best friend at the end of the year. And yes, referring to previous post, you know who it is lol.

Walked to SK1 and arrived in time to witness my sister getting her 5As. Sweetest thing ever. I almost cried lol.

I had an enjoyable Harvest party despite how I did not plan it and I only went with the flow. My mum and I managed to pull of a first time dish and life rhocks :D

My birthday this year, 09.09.09 was the best birthday of all! I truly enjoyed it, although now it's passed, I'm looking forward to more exciting things in 2010.

The 50-50

I walked home from school and arrived in 45 minutes. Mum and Auntie Theresa wasn't very happy O_O

I found places without any maps in my hand, just directions I memorized when I was browsing through Google Earth lol.

I watched New Moon, the sequel to Twilight. It isn't really an achievement and I don't really like the ending so oh well :/

I went bowling for the first time. If Ariel didn't get me five points, I would've got nothing on my score. Oh and the ball got stuck in my fingers and there was another time where it rolled backwards instead lol.

I went ice-skating for the first time. Meera dragged me here and there on the rink and I was like freaking scared. Fell only twice. I could've sworn I almost killed everyone XD

I started learning Form 3 Science during the hols.

The Bad

I started off my year in a bad mood. Which explains all the bad stuff that has been happening.

I didn't sweat for an entire day at school when I had fever and insisted on attending although my mother was freaking furious and tried to stop me.

I fell for the wrong person and when things changed all of a sudden I had to force myself to adapt to a new lifestyle, which was hard at first, but I managed to work things out.

And after I finally got over him, I went to visit his sister and now he is furious and that just ruined my mood. Major glitch -___-

I completely sacrificed everything for that stupid boy, I blamed everything on my friends and I even had fights with my closest friends.

My heart is filled with great remorse and I can't do anything to change the past.

I did not get A for Sejarah this year. Although I studied for the finals, I epic failed.

I think I'll stop right there, because overall I had a great year, a challenging one indeed. However, I managed to pull 2009 off, and it's time I started a new chapter.

Tomorrow, I will be starting Chapter 15. This year of my life is important, as I will be sitting for PMR and after PMR, I will be facing crucial moments and the decisions I have to make which will determine the future of my career and the turn of my life.

And it's pretty ironic how I listen to the song Fifteen by Taylor Swift and think of how the turn of events match the song lyrics.

I expect things to change next year. I'll be stuck with the same classmates, in the same class and surprisingly, the same classroom though. I might join different co-curriculum next year so I guess we'll see ;)

It's 6.10PM and I'm posting this now because I will probably be at church tonight for the New Year Service. So anyway..

Okay I'll put that aside for a moment. I'd like to talk about an awesome day I had lol.

Yesterday, I hung out with Carine and Desmond over at Carine's house. Desmond came like an hour late, and he left an hour early. 5 hours isn't enough, next time WE HANG OUT LONGER!!!

I have like uh, only 9 pictures of yesterday from Carine. But oh well :/

Arrived at Carine's around 11 something. Chit-chat and hang out here and there before Desmond arrived.

Shortly after Carine called for pizza, Desmond arrived. And then we went upstairs and had some chit chat, played with stuff from Japan. We decided to watch Alvin and The Chipmunks. After it started, we adjourned downstairs to continue the movie because we wanted to eat the pizza and watch the movie at the same time.

The pizza was pretty small, so we ordered more after that XD Desmond ate his Cinnasticks (Carine pronounciation - Chinasticks XD), while I helped myself to the other food. Bryan couldn't eat much though lol.

After the movie ended we played some piano. Desmond is absolutely not a pro. Carine is too much of a pro! HAHAHA lol.

Oh yeah, we actually prepared a cake for Desmond. It was actually a surprise, until Auntie Shem mentioned it. I didn't panic so much, but the Carine reacted pretty obvious so epic fail lor lol XD So we just brought the cake out in the end. Desmond could only smile (I think).

Cutting the uh, chocolate plus some fruit in the fresh cream, uh, I conclude it as tiramisu cake. That's what I assume though. But it was good nonetheless.

We didn't put candles, we just sang a birthday song. Carine said Tham and both of us(Desmond and I) said Desmond lol. He actually sang his own birthday song. WOOT lol x) Here you can see him blow imaginary candles and making a real wish(I think, lol)

Our game of Cluedo. It made my belated Christmas :) Since I didn't get a Cluedo Reinvention for Christmas, I guess playing Cluedo was the next best thing. Thanks people :DD

It was funny playing Cluedo XD After Desmond set up the game and all, Bryan suddenly wanted to join in. After some persuasion he joined in the game lol. The yellow one is him, Mr. Mustard. The red one is Ms. Scarlett, Carine's character, the HOT MAMA XD The decent blue lady(pahh XD), Mrs. Peacock is me and Desmond is the maid lol, Mrs. White.

During the game, Bryan's Mr. Mustard was seducing Ms. Scarlett lol XD HSL(ham sap lou) hahahaha! Carine was all, "He's my brother lah!" then I was like "Not in the game hahahahaha" lol. In the end it was Mrs. White(Desmond's character) who murdered the victim(forgot his name liao) with a knife in the kitchen. I already had the answer but Carine decided to guess so oh well haha x)

Then after Cluedo, we had a not-very-good-game of Scrabble because Bryan was really slow half an hour before Desmond had to go.

After he left, I went to the park with Carine and Bryan. Nothing interesting happened after that, no I'm just lying but I don't wanna talk about it.

Okay I'll stop right there.

Boxing Day.

In case you don't know what Boxing Day is, it's a day where you get your Christmas presents, or open your Christmas presents. I know most of you don't bother to wait until Christmas if you already receive your presents in advance, like me for an example.

I received my Christmas presents a week in advance, most of them during the Christmas Harvest Event. My sister immediately tore all her wrappers the next day and revealed her presents.

However, this year I decided to wait until Boxing Day to open my presents. I was suppose to wait until Christmas, but since I got back from Singapore pretty late, I could only open my gifts yesterday.

Christmas ornaments. This was the gift exchange thing I got. I think it's Uncle Albert's. It has the same wrapper I used last Christmas. At least that's what Rachel and I think lol. Haha thanks anyway whoever who really wrapped this gift.

I also got comfy Scholl shoes from there and this cute Christmas clip on mini Santa hat(go to my Facebook, I'm wearing it on my profile picture XD) which were selling at 5 Sing dollars, but since they were for charity I guess we spent on that but we did a good deed on Christmas Eve ;D

I didn't get anything from my wishlist though. But it's okay. I've got all that I need in life :)

Happy Boxing Day everyone :D

I am sick today T_T

I have an irritating sore throat, and earlier I had a fever but then I ate Panadol and put that gel thing on my forehead so I'm good now.

I'm delaying my Boxing Day post until tomorrow since I'm not feeling very well and I don't have the pictures right now.

I can't believe school is starting within days, and I am seriously bummed/freaked out/happy/indifferent/having a million other emotions about it.

I really want to go back to Singapore lol. I love that place. Everything there is so good, unlike here. If you want to read my long winded post about how I love Singapore and how crappy Malaysia is, go to my personal blog. Post title : Impatient. I reckon there are some things you'd like to argue on. Go ahead, leave some comments, I'm bored anyway :/

Justin Chan got into BU3. I haven't even got anything on my sister's school and all that stuff. I'mma start preparing next week for the new school year. ZOMG it's PMR :S

I'm going to have a lot of choices to make. From which uniform unit I'm attending, to which stream I am following for upper secondary. Time flies so quickly, I think I might've lost track of what's important and what's not sometimes. I really need to handle things with care, and not freak out, or break out, or throw a fit, or start acting weird (okay that is normal, you don't have Vivian, if you don't see her weirdness) and a kazillion other things I need to take into strict consideration.

I've decided to get those 7As next year. However, I will not forget what is the main purpose of school. It is to learn. I go to school to see something new, expect and learn something interesting. And if Sejarah proves to be horrid, I have nothing more to say. I can only struggle to keep my mind on the subject and grab those As.

Looking back on 2009, I feel that I have experienced a lot of new, fresh and exciting things, but I have also endured the worst of times, which in comparison to the bigger world, is no less than a small problem.

I'm going to list down a few things and get my goals set for next year, and I'm going to post them here to remind myself what I am suppose to achieve, and what I have to do to be a better individual in all the aspects of life. I will not divulge into deep romance as I will only be 15 and I'll do better things than date the boy of my dreams (screams "pathetic!" and "cheesy!" at the top of my voice).

I intend to travel as often as I can, so that I will gain more experience in the world. There are a lot of things I have yet to learn, and I haven't even started to cook and all. I feel horrible, as all girls should know how to cook. The only things I know how to cook are Maggi mee, fried eggs, rice, fried rice, and all the basic dishes but I have a long way to go before declaring myself a professional. And baking is a different story.

Here goes another long winded post lol. It's a good thing I insert pictures for the eye candy of my very few readers on my blog, or else this blog would be boring as ever.

I have to rest now since I have been missing church for the past few weeks, and I must attend tomorrow's service.

I have mixed feelings about being back in KL and all. I think Singapore rocks! Everything there is like uber coolio, cleaner, urban and AWESOME. I never wanted to leave that place lol.

Ying Jie must be so lucky to be studying there. This is inspiring me to apply for ASEAN after PMR. Besides, SPM will be in BM so I might as well sit for O Levels instead.

The only thing I'm happy about leaving Singapore is..

.. that I don't need to multiply everything by 2.5 anymore.

Thank God for that.

Winter solstice.

It's Winter Solstice Festival! Happy DongZhi everyone!

I've had my reunion(sort of) lunch(instead of dinner) and great tong yuen.

Can never get enough. This time it's in gula melaka syrup. I prefer the usual sugar, pandan leaves and ginger concoction. Nevertheless, it still tastes good.

Anyways, I won't be around for the next three days. Yes, I won't be around for Christmas. Sigh. But when I reach Johor I shall call all(uh, close ones lah at most XD) my friends and give them a hearty Christmas wish :D

I have not much to blog about, but I have a lot to do tonight since I'm leaving tomorrow morning. And I have to sleep early >:(

I think I'll go to a bookstore and look for that book I saw the other day online. It seems interesting, and I want to find out what happened. The book is called I Believe You by a Singaporean author(forgot her name). I'm not sure where to get it, and I've lost the site and all so yeah, if you have any ideas please feel free to inform me. I saw it on an ad on Facebook. I read 11 chapters of it, and I am eager to continue the story.

It was great :D There was turkey mah lol.

Huge thanks to Ariel, Angie, Grace, Pei Wen, Ying Jie(and his brother) for making an effort to come and last but not least, Brendan for finally showing up after the tonnes of invitations we send him but to no avail. And he forgot to take his Christmas present home -___-

Mum and I made Potato Dauphinoise, something we got out of the recipe book which we had never cooked before. For a first try, it was good. A lot of people said so, and Grace took like more than 3 servings? I only grabbed a small serving to try. Boy, it was good. I'm not praising my own food just because Imy mum and I cooked it kay. I'm serious it was nice.

Oh and I got Christmas tree ornaments for the Gift Exchange. I didn't even give anything in return, so bad lah me lol. I should've switched with Ariel and took the keyboard brush instead. It was cooler XD

What we thought was a bag of Famous Amos cookies, turned out to be prunes. We were up in the room hanging out then I randomly asked, "Hey can I have a cookie?" and then Angie told me they weren't cookies. They were prunes. EPIC FAIL hahahaha. Still joking about it lol.

Had a pretty short conversation with Carine yesterday night. She's using eBuddy on her iPhone in Japan. And she's got me POCKY!!! THANKS SOOOOOOOO MUCH WOOT! Haiyoo I feel bad again because I haven't gotten her anything. Sigh. Don't worry I'll come up with something soon!

Tomorrow is Dong Zi :D Or in English, Winter Solstice Festival. It marks the end of the year/a new beginning, if I'm not mistaken and it's celebrated during the beginning of winter I think. I'm so noob lol. But anyway, I made tong yuen today. Green colour (Pandan). Brown colour (Milo, courtesy of Muffinman lol). Orange colour (Tapioca).

Oh yeah, before that I went to the hairdresser nearby and got my hair layered. At least it looks more, uh, different now. I thought my hair was getting superbly out of hand and boring shaped, or to be more specific, werewolf like.

My hair really looked like that O_O

Seriously. I hate my old hair.

But fear not, for I have new layered hair! BORING -.-' I know. But I have no other ideas so bear with me please.

Have you listened to this song called Santa Baby? Every time I step into a place filled with Christmas joy and decorations and the song just comes up, I feel like I'm back in the old days by Main Street. I love Christmas, the old way. I think new age Christmas is a bit off. I've got myself buried in the classical era during the festive season lol.

I'll be leaving for Singapore in two more days WOOT :D Maybe I'll go back to that 3 for 10 dollars shop in Chinatown to buy something for my friends, since it's cheap there lol. Everything else is major expensive lah. I think I'm not gonna go on the Singapore Flyer. Damn expensive lah the tickets =.='

I have nothing else to say, at the moment.

Woot cousins coming later! I'm kinda happy for them since they hardly get to leave Ipoh. Although I have to share my room for the night but hey, at least my cousins get a day off.

I mean it was so hard trying to persuade Foong Yee Ah Yee to bring them downtown lah. And Terng was suppose to get a trip to Hong Kong because he got first in class for both semesters!

And he's like in the top class, in the top Chinese boys school in Ipoh, SJKC Sam Tet! Really proud of him, and I think he deserves at least a weekend out for his achievements. I hope he doesn't turn his back and lost trust cuz if I were him, I'd probably lost my mind already. But anyways, God bless Terng XD

Right now, I'm struggling really hard to keep my hyperactive imagination under strict control. I do things that are unpredictable, really. Okay, maybe not so much. Maybe I am obvious.

Public holiday tomorrow. Maybe I should blog less now that my faithful reader, Carine Lim Kar Ean is 3 hours earlier than I am, in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Listening to classical un-Archuleta-ed Christmas songs on the radio. David Archie's songs are okay lah, but I like the Micheal Buble kind of tune lol. And then it takes me to exquisite Parisian dining.

I can close my eyes and imagine myself sitting in some posh restaurant now having exquisite cuisine looking outside that huge glass window into the snowy compound. That is love (:

Schools about to start. And I have no idea at all where Rachel is going. I'm slightly worried but overall I think things are good.

I really hope they don't get into that other school. Come to my school lah!

Yes, I was at Malacca. I got back from there.

We toured the city on Sunday, then left the next day. Didn't get to eat any Peranakan stuff. Wo mei you chi niang re cai :(

Carine is going to Japan. HOKKAIDO! You better take some pics of you and your family and snow and cool stuff and even more cool stuff and buy me ramen and buy me Pocky and please remember to uh, yeah, that's it lah I guess lol.

I'm gonna blog about Malacca in parts, since it's kinda long to cover a lot of stuff in one post. So I'm just gonna do an introduction.

St. Francis Xavier Church, established 1848(I think). It was in front of the parking area. Damn historical, so cool lah. I wanna get married some ancient church woot XD

Sam Sook Gong. This place has like an eatery and then they sell some local delicacies all sorts I guess. GULA MELAKA FTW!

Today was last day of tuition. Carine came lol. Not many people turned up, but a good number lah. Class crack up like usual, load of jokes and stuff. Last day but coolio XD

Okay it's confirmed. Carlos is Portuguese. And I'm having a hard time pronouncing Portuguese properly(it's like pore-chew-geese lol).

Carine doesn't know where I've been last Sunday. I was gone. She doesn't know.

About my day today?

Okay. At lunchtime I went to Mid Valley. Xiu Xiu Ah Yee said it was J Card Day Sale, so she brought us there to shop.

First we went to the food court to eat. I chose to buy food from this Yong Tau Fu stall for lunch. Damn cool wehh. You take a bowl, and pick your yong tau fu from the delicious spread, then you ask for whatever noodles and whatever soup you'd like it to go with, then they will cook the stuff for you. Then they put it all in the bowl and then you pay up and then MAKAN! So cool lah lol.

I had curry beehoon with 5 different yong tau fu-s. Damn nice. Was gonna add veggies but I thought it would flood the bowl so in the end didn't bother to add in. They also give free drinks. I guess considered value for money cuz it's about 8 bucks for that flooded bowl of yong tau fu and stuff XD

After makan we hit Jusco. Forget about the flooded bowl of yong tau fu, we had to squeeze our way through the massive crowd in Jusco. Sale signs everywhere! And they say if you buy more than a hundred bucks you get vouchers, but cannot use on that day.

I only got a few clothes to try on and the queue for the fitting room was short, but man, I tell you we had to wait like 45 minutes for this woman to get out of the fitting room. And then in front of me was another woman who had like a supermarket basket filled with clothes to try on. I was like "Another 45 minutes wtf". Luckily her friend found her another fitting room so after the woman in front of her, who only had like 5 garments I get to go in. Finally after waiting I managed to get into the fitting room.

I bought a top, a pair of black(short) shorts and a dress. I sort of regret buying the dress cuz I had no idea it was gonna cost me 39 bucks and I thought the shorts were almost 20 bucks, but turns out it was more expensive. Rechecked everything and confirm liao. I can't believe I spent 80 bucks. What about *********? I'm officially broke.

I've been broke before and I'm even more broke now. I might as well succumb to rice and tofu and eggs, living on just that and that only.

Then after we left Jusco we walked around, then re-entered Jusco again. We went to the bakery section, that is. Bought moist chocolate cake for myself (nyehnyehnyeh XD), blueberry cheese tart and chicken pastry for Rachel.

Before we left, strolled around the concourse and took some pics lol.
